SAPA Legislation Sent to Senate Judiciary Committee!

WYGO’s Second Amendment Preservation Act (S.F. 81) has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee where it is awaiting a hearing and a vote.

As we’ve told you repeatedly, while the Senate Judiciary Committee has some very pro-gun members on it, it also contains some Senators who are very much opposed to your gun rights.

In fact, some insiders are telling WYGO that SAPA legislation has been sent to the Judiciary Committee so that they can kill it, taking the blame for the rest of the legislature.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time.

Tell the Judiciary Committee to Advance SAPA!

SAPA legislation is spreading all across the country as lawmakers in ‘Red States’ know that the BEST WAY to safeguard our gun rights under a Biden Administration is to make sure they can’t be applied at the state level.

And that’s all SAPA law would do, defeat the impact of Biden’s gun control agenda by refusing to allow Wyoming’s peace officers to enforce it!

As we’ve discussed repeatedly over the last few months, this idea of states nullifying federal overreach dates back hundreds of years in America and has been upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court over and over again.

You can read more about that here.

SAPA legislation is exploding in popularity and is on the move in Idaho, Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas, Georgia and over a dozen more states as pro-gun lawmakers rush to save the gun rights of their citizens.

But for Wyomingites to benefit from SAPA law, we first need the Judiciary Committee to advance it!

Tell the Judiciary Committee to Advance SAPA!

It’s critical that you help us crank up the heat in Cheyenne.

Already the Wyoming Association on Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police (WASCOP) is doing everything they can to kill this legislation. Of course, WASCOP tried to kill Stand-Your-Ground law, too, and is widely seen as a part of the gun control lobby in Cheyenne.

Their primary lobbyist, Byron Oedekoven, gets paid close to $90,000 a year (much of that funded by taxpayers since WASCOP gets millions in government grant money every year) to lobby in the Capitol against your gun rights.

Sure, it’s disgusting, but that doesn’t mean it’s not effective.

In fact, weak-kneed moderates love this set up. They let Oedekoven attack the bill and then they sit back and say ‘I couldn’t back a gun bill if WASCOP is opposed to it.’

The truth, of course, is that the members of WASCOP are actively reaching out to WYGO, desperate to see SAPA legislation become law. If SAPA becomes law, these rank and file officers would never have to worry about being ordered to enforce an unconstitutional law, because it would violate state code!

Tell the Judiciary Committee to Advance SAPA!

Joe Biden and the radical left are moving at warp speed as they seek to ram their gun control agenda into law.

Here in Wyoming, our ‘pro-gun leaders’ should be moving at warp speed to counter him with the strongest form of SAPA legislation that is available — not slow rolling the gun owners who elected them.

Help us send that message; send your email to the Judiciary Committee NOW!

And I hope that you will make a donation to Wyoming Gun Owners, too, so that we can continue to crank up the heat on the Judiciary Committee and the State Senate as a whole!

We are running digital, social media, and radio ads across the state trying to mobilize as many gun owners as possible to help us pass this bill.

But we can’t let up.

Please make a donation right away, to help us fight for you
