Other than now-defeated Swamp Monster and current State Senator Michael Von Flatern, every single Republican in Cheyenne voted in favor of Stand-Your-Ground law in 2018.
To be clear, there were MANY Republicans who wanted to vote against the bill that simply didn’t dare, because the members of Wyoming Gun Owners were flooding the Capitol with calls and emails in support of that badly needed legislation.
But the fact is, we have a run-away problem in Cheyenne with anti-gun moderate Republicans who campaign on the Second Amendment in the fall, only to stab gun owners in the back once January rolls around.
And House District 55 candidate Ember Oakley is another one of these wolves in sheep’s clothing, looking to devour our gun rights while straight up lying to gun owners.
Ember Oakley is looking to fill House District 55’s open seat, after David Miller announced his retirement from elected office.
And while scores of her fellow Republican candidates answered the WYGO gun rights survey 100% pro-gun — Ember Oakley has refused this eight question survey!
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
You see, Ember Oakley used her position in the Wyoming Prosecutors Association to come to Cheyenne and personally lobby AGAINST Stand-Your-Ground law in 2018!
(Ember Oakley did her best to convince politicians in Cheyenne to KILL Stand-Your-Ground law in 2018, personally lobbying against this life saving legislation!)
WYGO knew about this at the time, as many quasi-governmental entities were trying to stop us from passing this legislation. Some did so publicly, and some did so in the shadows.
Of course, now Ember Oakley is lying to gun owners in Riverton, telling them how she’s always supported the Second Amendment and how she was only trying to help make the bill better.
You see, Ember Oakley has nothing but contempt for gun owners like you and me, and she’s convinced that we’ll believe anything she tells us.
The good news is that Bethany Baldes is running for this seat too, and she’s signed the WYGO candidate survey 100% pro-gun!
This means that Bethany Baldes is opposed to gun registration.
Baldes is also on the record in opposition to ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures,’ waiting periods, FIX-NICS, and any attempt to take away our AR-15’s!
But it’s not enough for you and me to know that, we need to make sure that every gun owner in House District 55 knows the truth.
And it would be a major mistake for you to just tune this out if you don’t live in or around Riverton, as the outcome of this situation has major implications where our gun rights are concerned.
You see, Ember Oakley is widely rumored to be the next bill sponsor for FIX-NICS mental health gun control legislation.
That’s why she has the support of Cheyenne Swamp Monsters like Senator Ogden Driskill, Senator Tara Nethercott, and many others — because they know she’ll support their efforts to weaken our gun rights.
That’s why WYGO needs to educate gun owners in this district!
Thanks to your incredible generosity earlier this year, Wyoming Gun Owners had the resources to HAMMER away at the records of anti-gun politicians like Michael Von Flatern, Dan Kirkbride, Bill Pownall, David Northrup and many others.
We did this using radio ads, digital ads, direct mail and more.
And once we exposed their record of backing gun control, educated gun owners tossed every single one of those anti-gun moderates out of office!
But, to be blunt, WYGO spent every dime we raised to implement this program and a whole lot more, and frankly, after we set aside the funds that we are going to need to fight for gun owners next session, we need help to expose Ember Oakley.
If you can afford to give $250 or even $500, now is the time.
Our country is under attack from radical leftists who want to destroy what makes our country the best nation on earth.
Here in Wyoming, those leftists usually take the shape of Republican moderates who hate gun owners and can’t wait to work in the shadows to attack our gun rights.
We must expose these people for who they are.
