By now you know that there is an all-out war coming to Washington, D.C. over ‘Red Flag Gun Confiscation’ legislation, in the wake of the Dayton, OH and El Paso, TX shootings.
This fight is coming, and it’s coming fast!
In fact, in the last three days Republican Senators Charles Grassley (R-IA,) John Thune (R-SD,) and Marco Rubio (R-FL,) have all joined up with Lindsey Graham (R-SC,) in publicly supporting ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation!
As you’ll see below, I’ve prepared a petition to Senators Mike Enzi and John Barrasso that I hope you will sign right away, so that I can show them that gun owners in Wyoming are 100% opposed to this disastrous scheme!

The radical gun control crowd in Washington, D.C. — and in state legislatures around the country — didn’t even wait for the blood to dry last weekend before they started demanding gun control.
You see, this isn’t about stopping mass shootings for them.
They view these shootings as an opportunity to ram their entire gun-control agenda into law, hoping that gun owners are too demoralized to fight back.
Never mind the fact that the shooter in Dayton, OH bought all of his firearms legally, showing the futility of ‘universal background checks.’
Never mind the fact that over 92% of all mass shootings take place in ‘Gun Free Zones,’ just like the shooting in El Paso, TX, once again showing the failure of these policies.
And never mind the fact that no gun control law will ever stop a committed criminal from carrying out a crime, as criminals can simply use other weapons — like Dahir Adan did when he stabbed 10 people in the St. Cloud, MN mall in September of 2016 while screaming ‘Allahu Akbar!’
Despite these failures, US Senator Lindsey Graham, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is working overtime to use the recent mass shootings as justification to pass ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation!
But Senator Graham is not alone.
In fact, as I mentioned above, Senator Graham — who has received $500,000 in direct donations from NYC billionaire Michael Bloomberg -– has the full support of a growing number of Republicans!
And, frankly, the silence from Senator Enzi and Barrasso’s offices is absolutely deafening.
You see, ‘Red Flag Gun Seizure’ legislation is far more dangerous than a ban on the AR-15 or magazines that hold over ten rounds of ammunition.
That’s because ‘Red Flag Gun Seizures’ would allow virtually anyone to make a claim that you are a danger to yourself or someone else, and ask a judge to order government agents to seize your firearms!
The amount of room for abuse in this process should have every gun owner in Wyoming alarmed. Consider the following:
>>> These gun seizure orders will be issued before you have
been convicted, or even charged, with anything!
>>> The hearing that determines whether or not to strip you of
your firearms can happen in secret!
>>> The order to have your firearms seized can easily be
extended for another year at a time by an anti-gun judge!
Given how much opposition we’ve seen to our gun rights from the judicial system over the last few years, we know that this unconstitutional power could be greatly abused.
Simply put: this is the most aggressive attack on our gun rights that we’ve ever seen here in Wyoming, as it allows you to be stripped of ALL of your gun rights by the stroke of a pen and before you’ve been convicted of a crime!
And as you’ve seen this week, this fight is moving fast!
I don’t know about you, but I’m sick and tired of always being blamed for the actions of violent criminals by the media.
I’m sick and tired of the left’s attempts to try to make me feel responsible because of what some criminal did.
And I’m sick and tired of Republican lawmakers who assure us of how pro-gun they are at election time, only to sit quietly by while the fight for our freedom rages across the country!
If this legislation is going to be stopped, it’s going to be up to gun owners like you and me to do it.
And that’s why I am counting on your financial support, in addition to your signed petition.
With your support, Wyoming Gun Owners is preparing to mobilize as many gun owners as possible in opposition to this legislation and before floor votes can be held, by:
- Cranking up the pressure on Senators Enzi and Barrasso with a statewide social media ad buy, giving gun owners the facts and urging them to contact both Senators.
- Deploying an additional 50,000 pieces of direct mail with built-in petitions so that gun owners can take action, reminding both Senators that gun owners in Wyoming are watching their votes very closely.
- Rapidly expanding our email program to provide up to the moment updates as this fight and the legislation we are up against come into focus. Our pre-written emails to lawmakers are feared by many lawmakers, but we hope to take it to a whole new level.
- Unleashing a round of radio and TV ads the day before the vote, if we can afford it, to inundate both Senators with calls from tens of thousands of gun owners!
It’s a full court press; it needs to be, as we are under assault from Republicans, Democrats, and the media.
But this program won’t even get off the ground if I can’t write the check to pay for it all.
Simply put, fundraising in the summer is not easy for non-
profit organizations like Wyoming Gun Owners, as people are busy with vacations and family activities.
I need your help to run this program, and I need it as soon as possible.
But of course, I know that not everyone can do that.
I don’t know what you can afford, I only ask that you send what you can as soon as possible!
Senator Graham and his pals are counting on gun owners to sit quietly in the shadows, hoping that we are too ashamed to stand tall and fight for our gun rights after the recent shootings.
But they’ve got another thing coming!
This country was built on a love of freedom, and that love was secured by firearms in the hands of everyday patriots who were willing to fight for their freedom — a fight that continues to this day.
I’m proud to be a gun owner and I’m damn proud to stand alongside thousands of other gun owners in this wonderful state as we fight to defend our heritage of freedom!
