As we told you last week, Senator Anthony Bouchard has filed the Second Amendment Preservation Act for us in the Senate (S.F. 81,) but we just got word that the bill was sent to the Judiciary Committee.
And while there are some pro-gun members on the Senate Judiciary Committee, the simple fact is that the Judiciary Committee is run by Senator Tara Nethercott and it’s one of the most hostile committees in the Senate!
After all, it was Tara Nethercott who opposed Stand-Your-Ground law throughout the 2018 session, even trying to weaken it after it was signed into law and validated by the Supreme Court.
It was Tara Nethercott who voted against legislation to rid Wyoming of deadly ‘Gun Free Zones’ (SF75) in 2019.
And in their most recently filed 990 financial audit, the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, the group that filed the bogus complaint against WYGO after the 2020 primary cycle, was Chaired by none other than Tara Nethercott.
So it’s clear that Majority Floor Leader Ogden Driskill has assigned S.F. 81 to the Judiciary Committee with the expressed intention of having Tara Nethercott kill the bill.
Don’t let them get away with this; email your State Senator now and tell him that you want to see action on the Second Amendment Preservation Act this session!
As a reminder, the Second Amendment Preservation Act (AKA SAPA) would shut down Joe Biden’s gun control agenda here in Wyoming by requiring Wyoming’s peace officers to ONLY enforce Wyoming law where firearms, ammunition, and accessories are concerned!
So if Joe Biden is somehow able to pass a ban on our AR-15’s, 30 round magazines, or anything else, those tyrannical laws would be dead on arrival here in Wyoming.
This is how we hold the line against federal gun control and safeguard our freedoms here in Wyoming for the next generation! But it’s not going to happen if the Senate doesn’t pass S.F. 81.
And based on this bill being assigned to Tara Nethercott’s Judiciary Committee, it’s clear that the remaining elements of the Cheyenne Swamp don’t want to pass this.
I don’t know about you, but I’m disgusted with all the talk, the lip service, the promises year after year, only to get crumbs and outright betrayal in return, all while the Radical Left launches attacks against our gun rights every single day.
We don’t have much time.
As we told you last weekend, Joe Biden made a massive policy statement Sunday afternoon calling for an immediate ban on our AR-15’s, magazines that hold over 10 rounds, and the creation of a national gun owner database via ‘Universal Background Checks.’
These people are not kidding, and they ARE coming for your freedoms.
Meantime, our ‘pro-gun legislature’ is pulling crap like putting the most important gun bill of the year into kill committees, making it that much harder to pass into law!
Our best option is massive amounts of grassroots firepower, which is how WYGO passed Constitutional Carry, Stand-Your-Ground Law, and every other bill in our eleven years of fighting for your Second Amendment rights!
So please send your email immediately, so your Senator knows what you expect of him this session.

These ads are going to remind the legislature that gun owners are the MOST POTENT political fighting force in Wyoming. Ask former Senator Von Flatern. Ask former Judiciary Chairman Kirkbride. Ask former State Representative Pownall. Ask anyone.
More importantly, they will tell the legislature that passing the Second Amendment Preservation Act is our TOP priority in 2021!

And Wyoming’s solid gun laws will collapse if Joe Biden can pass his agenda into law — unless Wyoming politicians pass SAPA here in Wyoming!
