Last night was a major victory for gun owners across Wyoming.
After weeks of hearings, debates, amendments, and grassroots pressure from thousands of WYGO members, the legislature passed SF-101 and sent it to Governor Mark Gordon’s desk.
This bill strengthens Wyoming’s Second Amendment Preservation Act and ensures that the federal government cannot use Wyoming law enforcement to enforce federal gun control laws.
But the fight is not over yet.
Governor Gordon vetoed this same legislation last year.
And two years ago, he also vetoed legislation to repeal deadly ‘Gun Free Zones,’ forcing us to finish that fight the next year.
So while we celebrate the victory in the legislature, the final decision now rests with the Governor.
Governor Gordon has until Tuesday night to act. He can:
- Sign the bill, in which case SF-101 becomes law
- Do nothing, in which case SF-101 becomes law
- Veto the bill, forcing an override vote
With 2026 being an election year, now is the time for gun owners to get loud. We are already hearing Governor Gordon may run to replace Cynthia Lummis in the United States Senate.
If that’s true, then he needs to understand something very clearly: gun owners won’t back someone who vetoes gun bills!
>>> TELL GOVERNOR GORDON: SIGN SF-101 INTO LAW! <<<
SF-101 strengthens Wyoming’s SAPA law in three important ways:
👉 Allows gun owners to seek civil penalties if municipalities order their cops or deputies to enforce federal gun control laws against them.
👉 Prohibits the federal government from using Wyoming cops in ATF gun control task forces.
👉 Removes loopholes in the current SAPA law that could be exploited by a future anti-gun administration.
Anti-gun lobbyists and bureaucrats in Cheyenne have been lying about this bill all session long. And right now, they are spewing those same lies to Governor Gordon.
That’s why gun owners need to take immediate action.
Please take 30 seconds right now and send your pre-written email to Governor Gordon demanding that he sign SF-101 into law.

If Governor Gordon wants the support of Wyoming gun owners in the future, he should sign this bill immediately.
