Whereas: Senate File 196 would prevent the next Democrat in the White House from ordering Wyoming cops to enforce federal gun control laws or executive orders; and
Whereas: Senate File 196 creates civil penalties so if a police chief or mayor willfully violates SAPA law and order his officers to enforce federal gun control, that agency (not individual cops) could be sued in civil court for damages of $50,000; and
Whereas: Senate File 196 ensures that liberal department heads can’t violate SAPA by loaning out Wyoming cops to a joint federal task force to enforce federal gun control; and
Whereas: This legislation passed the Wyoming Senate by a vote of 29-1.
Therefore: As my Representative, please VOTE YES on Senate File 196 and NO on any weakening amendments when this bill comes up for a vote!
