Moments ago, the Wyoming Senate voted 26-5 to approve the concurrence motion on SF-101, sending the Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA) to Governor Mark Gordon’s desk.

This is a massive victory for WYGO and gun owners across the state.

After weeks of work, debates, amendments, hearings, and floor fights, the Wyoming Legislature has officially passed the bill to ensure that the federal government cannot use Wyoming cops to enforce federal gun control laws.

And this victory happened because Wyoming Gun Owners have never given up on this (or any other) fight in Cheyenne.

Tens of thousands of WYGO supporters across the state sent emails, signed petitions, and contacted their lawmakers demanding that SAPA move forward.

When that kind of grassroots pressure hits the Capitol in Cheyenne, politicians notice. Today’s vote proves it.

But we are not finished yet.

Remember, Governor Mark Gordon vetoed SAPA last year.

There is a real possibility he could try to do the same thing again.

That means the final battle for SAPA is now shifting from the Legislature to the Governor’s office.

Tomorrow, Wyoming Gun Owners will be launching a statewide effort urging gun owners to contact Governor Gordon and demand that he sign SF-101 into law.

We’ll have a link ready so you can easily send a message directly to the Governor.

But tonight, I wanted to reach out and simply say thank you.

Your emails, calls, and petitions made all the difference in this fight. Without it, SAPA would not be sitting on the Governor’s desk right now.

This is a huge moment for gun owners in Wyoming.
