VICTORIES: SF-196 Passes First Vote in the Senate!

What a day it’s been here in Cheyenne.

Earlier today, thanks to your calls and emails, WYGO was able to obliterate Senate File 12.

SF-12 would have created a lifetime protective order here in Wyoming, which would have allowed liberal judges to bar us from owning guns for the rest of our lives, even though we were never charged with a crime in a court of law!

I testified in opposition on behalf of WYGO members, and many of you made phone calls and sent emails as well.

As a result, Senate File 12 died a painful death in Committee today, by a vote of 3-0.

But that was just our first victory of the day.

Moments ago, Senate File-196 passed the full Senate for the first of three readings by a vote of 31-0!

This bill fixes all of the problems with Wyoming’s existing Second Amendment Preservation Act law.

Of course, this fight is not over. This was the first of three votes in the Senate, but this was the most important vote.

WYGO wants to give a huge shout-out to our bill sponsor, Senate Vice President Tim Salazar!

Salazar has been a warrior for gun owners for a long time, and he was once again today on the Senate floor.

(WYGO’s Aaron Dorr and SAPA bill sponsor Tim Salazar ALL SMILES after SAPA passes the Senate unanimously!)

From here, the Senate will vote on this bill again tomorrow. And that’s why we can’t let up.

Please fire off this pre-written email to your senator right now, telling him/her to vote yes on SF-196 tomorrow!
