HB 137 Passes Senate, Final Vote Coming in House Today!

HB 137 Passes Senate, Final Vote Coming in House Today!

You did it!

HB 137, our bill that would repeal “Gun Free Zone” policies in the State Capitol, City Hals, county buildings, and more passed the Senate today in a 20-10 vote
!

Senator Von Flatern tried to undermine the bill with a hostile amendment.

He failed.

Senator Ellis tried to do the same thing.

She failed.

Your calls and emails insisting that the Senate refuse all hostile amendments were successful, despite a very organized effort by the anti-gun lobby to crush this bill!

And don’t think for a moment that this would have happened without your activism.

Don’t forget, this same Senate body killed “Campus Carry” legislation last week. This is the same Senate that has killed every pro-gun bill for the last five years in a row!

But not yesterday.

Yesterday, your voice was heard in the Wyoming Senate.

And we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that WyGo’s former Executive Director and now State Senator Anthony Bouchard fought all day long for gun owners on the Senate floor!

He fought against bad amendments, forced record roll call votes to put anti-gunners on the record, and led the charge on HB 137.

Gun owners should take a moment to thank Senator Bouchard by sending him a message via email to [email protected] or via his Facebook page!

But this fight isn’t over yet.

There was a technical amendment added to the bill today, which means that the House will have to vote on this one last time before it goes to the Governor’s desk.

We’re being told that this vote may take place as early as this morning!

That’s why I need you to contact your Representative one more time on HB 137 — and insist that he support the bill with no weakening amendments
!

To find out who your Representative is, click here.

Once you know who your Representative is, please:

>>>  1. Email them; their email address can be found using the link above.

>>>  2. Call them; you can find their phone number using the link above too, or you can call the Legislative Hotlink at 866-996-8683.

(But calling them directly is far more effective given how little time we have.)

>>>  3. Sending them a message on Facebook; almost all of them are on Facebook and this allows you to communicate with them immediately.

If you can, please do all of the above right away — this vote could happen at any moment!

Please share this with any pro-gun friends and family you have as well.

Lastly, please chip in a donation of any amount to help Wyoming Gun Owners stay on top of this fight.

No one fights harder.

No one keeps you more informed.

No one else refuses to compromise away your freedoms in Cheyenne!

So please help us see this bill through, and continue to grow Wyoming Gun Owners so that we can continue to fight for your Second Amendment freedoms.

There’s a lot of work to be done here in Wyoming.

Dozens of our “friends” just stabbed us in the back by killing Campus Carry last week.

Other supposedly pro-gun legislators tried to gut our bill just yesterday!

Clearly gun owners can’t just trust candidates who say they are pro-gun at election time. With your continued help, WyGo will be here at election time to expose these anti-gun legislators.

Please do what you can to help.

But either way, please contact your Representative right away!

For Freedom,

David Ball
President

P.S. Thanks to all of your calls and emails, the Senate moved HB 137 yesterday and staved off three separate attempts to undermine the bill on the Floor!

The bill did undergo a technical amendment, meaning that it’s going back to the House for a final vote — likely as early as tomorrow morning.

We can’t take anything for granted, so please take a moment to contact your State Representative using the information above and make sure he supports HB 137 with no weakening amendments!

Act fast.

Then, if you can, please make a donation to Wyoming Gun Owners so we can continue to mobilize as many gun owners as possible until HB 137 becomes law!
